Bauple

... historically magick

Bauple Just south of Tiaro lies the township of Bauple; with a landscape dominated by Mount Bauple, the primary industry of the district is Sugar Cane.

It is not generally known that, Macadamia Nuts, as they are now called, actually came from this area originally. They where first discovered in 1858 and are known locally as Bauple Nuts.

Mount Bauple was a place of aboriginal importance, and while Mount Bauple National Park is currently closed to the public, the Park is accessible for scentific study.

Attractions include the Mount Bauple & District Historical Museum and accomodation is available at Staple House Bed & Breakfast.
