Apple Tree Creek

...country delight

Located just 7 kilometres north of Childers on the Bruce Highway is the delightfully-named rural township of Apple Tree Creek. The lovely big park is an ideal rest stop - it is equipped with picnic and barbecue facilities, and there is ample parking space for caravans and motorhomes.

The Childers region is well known for its variety of fruits, and the delicious award-winning Exotic Jam range, made from local fruit, is available from Sticky Beaks Restaurant in Apple Tree Creek. Sticky Beaks offers light and main meals, with wood-fired pizzas, steak and seafood among their specialities.

Apple Tree Creek is also home to the Flying High Flora and Fauna Bird Habitat, a massive bird aviary covering 5,000 square metres, and featuring over 70 species of birds, including Australian parrots, finches and brightly-coloured South American macaws. This popular tourist attraction is open 7 days a week.
