The Cooloola Regional Development Bureau is a regional development organisation that plays a pivotal role in the promotion and development of the tourism and economic development sectors within the Cooloola Region. The Bureau operates from three locations. Its economic development and regional promotion activities are based at the Bureau office at 24 Bruce Highway, Lake Alford in Gympie. The Visitor Information Centres operate from the Matilda's Complex at Kybong, Lake Alford Bruce Highway Gympie and Mary Street in the centre of Gympie.

At the information Centre, you can purchase locally produced arts and crafts and source information about the Shire. Internet access has recently been installed in the Information Centre.
